Enhancing knowledge of diabetes

The diabetes coalition meets 3-4 times per year to plan activities and provide education credits to its members, with the goal of enhancing knowledge of diabetes education, research and best practices.

我们的使命: To provide comprehensive diabetes education, 医疗保健, research and public advocacy for the citizens of southeastern Ohio and West Virginia. Our goal is to reduce the cost, premature death and personal suffering that often result from the long-term complications of diabetes mellitus.

历史: Established by the Diabetes/Endocrine Center and affiliated faculty from newbb电子平台, the coalition is a training and continuing education resource for diabetes educators in the region. The coalition includes 11 regional ADA-recognized diabetes education programs and their diabetes educators, 营养师, faculty from various schools and departments at newbb电子平台, regional school health nurses and public health officials and advocates. Many members of the coalition, including Diabetes Center-affiliated staff and faculty, participate in the Ohio Diabetes Alliance, a component of the statewide Ohio Department of Health’s Diabetes 预防 and Control 程序.
